Augusta Technical College Appoints Dr. Ken Blair as Dean of the
School of Business, Cyber and Design


Augusta, GA - September 2, 2025

Dr. Kenvoris Blair, an African American Male, smiles at the camera wearing a blue suit with a black collared shirt and tie.Augusta Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ken Blair as the new Dean of the School of Business, Cyber and Design. Dr. Blair brings over a decade of experience in higher education leadership, strategic planning, student success, and community engagement to his new role.

Dr. Blair holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership from Mercer University, a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

Prior to joining Augusta Technical College, Dr. Blair served as the inaugural Dean of Strategic Initiatives at Wesleyan College, where he led institution-wide efforts in academic innovation, graduate program development, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He also served as an instructor for professional practice seminars and was the advisor for the Black Student Alliance (BSA). Additionally, he is a certified career coach through the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

Dr. Blair also held leadership roles at Mercer University, serving as Associate Director of Student Financial Planning and Academic Coordinator for the TRIO program. In each of these positions, he focused on access, equity, and holistic student development.

“I am deeply honored to accept the role of Dean of the School of Business, Cyber and Design. This opportunity represents not only a professional milestone but also a continuation of my lifelong commitment to educational excellence, strategic innovation, and transformative leadership,” said Dr. Blair.

“My foundation in organizational leadership, combined with experience in business administration and higher education strategy, uniquely positions me to lead this dynamic school at the intersection of business, cyber, and design. I am especially excited to champion interdisciplinary collaboration, experiential learning, and innovation that prepares our students to be agile thinkers and ethical leaders in today’s global, digital economy.

By joining ATC’s leadership team, I look forward to working alongside dedicated faculty, staff, students, and industry partners to cultivate a future-ready learning environment. Together, we will advance a vision rooted in academic rigor, creativity, and impact,” stated Dr. Blair.

A native of Warren County, Dr. Blair is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and holds membership in prestigious academic honor societies, including the Golden Key International Honour Society, Kappa Delta Pi, and the International Education Honor Society. His leadership and impact have been recognized by numerous organizations: he is a recipient of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40, Rural Leader Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Honoree, and Mercer University's TRIO program 40 Under 40 distinction. He was also awarded the Wesleyan Workhorse Faculty/Staff Award in 2022.

Dr. Blair has been honored with proclamations from the Georgia House of Representatives District 143, as well as the Mayors of Warren and Bibb Counties, recognizing his service and leadership across Georgia.
