Augusta Technical College Receives $150,000 NRC Grant

Augusta Technical College receives grant funds for scholarship program.


The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has awarded Augusta Technical College $150,000 in grant funding to support the Augusta Technical College Nuclear Engineering Technology (NETwork) Scholars Program.  The grant will be awarded over a two-year period, extending from July 2019 – July 2021.

“Augusta Technical College is proud to be a recipient of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission grant, that will support students through scholarships and recruitment activities in order to develop a technically-skilled workforce,” stated Terry D. Elam, President of Augusta Technical College.  “We pride ourselves on placing our graduates in the nuclear industry as apprentices and technicians.  In accordance with our mission, Augusta Tech remains committed to developing a more efficient and effective workforce.”

Students enrolled in Engineering Technology (Nuclear, Mechanical, and Electrical and Computer), Industrial Systems Technology, and Chemical Technology program offerings at the College are encouraged to apply.
