Victoria McClendon has worked in in healthcare for 11 years with eight years of experience as a Registered Nurse. She has worked as an RN with Doctors Hospital of Augusta and DaVita Dialysis. She was an RN Supervisor at Thomas Health and Rehab Center. She also served as RN Case Manager with both Amedisys and Aetna. She also worked for a period of time as a travel nurse.

In 2020, she launched a new career trajectory as a nurse entrepreneur. Her small business, Nurse Vik RN seeks to educate people on the numerous health disparities that exist for mainly black and brown individuals because their health literacy in ten times less than white counterparts. The education she provides includes disease processes, medication maintenance, when to follow up with doctors. Her business also provides CPR and first aid training and a Georgia Nurse Aide training program in a rural area with no medical training facilities. She also offers concierge post-op nursing care and student nurse mentoring.

Ms. McClendon also serves as high school Healthcare Science Instructor for Wilkes County Schools. She teaches Introduction to Healthcare, Essentials of Healthcare, Allied Health and Medicine, and Professions of Healthcare, which includes Georgia Nurse Aide Training.

She completed the Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Augusta Technical College in 2014. She then went on to earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Georgia.
