Julie
B. Carter
joined Augusta Technical College in 2002 as an Admissions
Assistant at the Thomson Campus. Prior to coming to Augusta
Technical College, Julie had worked in the education field
for more than five years. In 2004, she assumed the position of
East Central Georgia Consortium WIA Case Manager where she
worked with local college and university students in need of
financial assistance to further their education. She was
responsible for intake of applicants, assessing customer
service skills, aptitude, and interest, assisting customers
in developing appropriate goals, and cooperating with other
agencies to respond to the needs of customers.
Julie
became the Administrative Assistant to the President in 2005
where she manages the President’s calendar and activities,
collects and compiles information for the President and
assists in handling the operations of the President’s office
in his absence. She serves as a liaison between the
President and faculty and staff. In addition, she maintains
the college’s personnel files. Julie serves as the Recording
Secretary for the college’s Board of Directors meetings.
