Franklin Deon Cox serves as the Welding and Joining Technology Instructor at Augusta Technical College Waynesboro/Burke Campus. He has nine years of welding experience and five years of welding/fabrication experience. Prior to joining Augusta Technical College, he worked in a local fabrication company fabricating steel I-beams and steel girders for new bridge construction. Deon has certification in three states for bridge construction and in-field welding. His areas of concentration include Introduction to Welding Technology, Oxyfuel Cutting, Blueprint Reading, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Fabrication Processes.
