Dr. Cynthia David has been the biology instructor at Augusta Technical College
since July of 1995. She teaches both on campus and online courses including General Biology,
Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and Microbiology.
During her career Dr. David has actively pursued the use of computers to enhance
education. She has programmed numerous computer tutorials for her biology classes as well as developed
three online biology courses. As online course offerings expanded at Augusta Tech, she began the Teaching
Online Group to support all online faculty.
Dr. David has served on the President’s Faculty Advisory Council and co-chaired the
Institutional Effectiveness Committee of the 2003 Accreditation Self-Study. She participated in the
Georgia Lighthouse Institute in 2000 and has won two Excel Awards from the Georgia Virtual Technical
College for excellence in online teaching.
