U.S. Representative John Barrow recently held a mortgage and foreclosure assistance workshop on the campus of Augusta Tech to address the needs of people facing issues with their mortgages.
Representatives from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the VA, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, the CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, the CSRA Consumer Credit Counseling Service, AARP, and other agencies were on hand to provide free, confidential advice to families facing foreclosure or who were worried about making their mortgage payments.
