Charlene Hardy, a former student at Augusta Tech, has been selected as the Occupational Therapy Assistant Student of the Year by the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association (GOTA). The award was announced recently at their annual conference.
Hardy was the winner of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) for Augusta Tech last year. GOAL winners are selected at each of the state's 33 technical colleges as well as the four Board of Regents colleges with technical education divisions. GOAL, a statewide program of the Technical College System of Georgia, honors excellence in academics and leadership among the state's technical college students. Hardy graduated from Augusta Tech in December 2008.
