Augusta Technical College Supports United Way
United Way campus coordinator, Dalton Thacker, is pleased to announce that the Augusta Technical College family raised $14,000 in support of the 2008 annual campaign. The funds raised will stay in the local market and address community issues and support programs that are vital to success in our community. The committee worked hard to motivate the faculty and staff to surpass last year's goal and they are proud to announce....MISSION was ACCOMPLISHED!

Several kickoffs were attended by faculty and staff including the Burke County Campaign that was held on the Waynesboro campus of Augusta Tech, and the Greater Augusta Campaign at the Bell Auditorium. Following those rally's, the faculty and staff were treated to an on campus kickoff with guest speaker Jeff Schwab, Executive Director of the Georgia/Carolina Boy Scouts of America. He shared a powerful story of how United Way supports the Boy Scouts and the many other agencies in our community.
