Tommy Lyles and Youth Leadership Donate Sculpture to Board of Education

Tommy Lyles and Columbia County Youth Leadership Create a Masterpiece for Board of Education.
Columbia County's Youth Leadership under the tutelage
of Welding and Joining Instructor, Tommy Lyles, created
a masterpiece that was donated to the Columbia County
Board of Education.

Tommy Lyles, a Welding and Joining Instructor for Augusta Technical College, was recently recognized by the Columbia County Board of Education for his participation in Columbia County’s Youth Leadership Program during the day dedicated to “Culture and Arts in the Community.” Tommy had given each of the students a task of painting a piece of metal and asked them to bring it back to him. From their individual efforts, they created a sculpture comprised of all the different pieces that the students worked on. The sculpture was presented to the Columbia County Board of Education by Tommy and the Youth Leadership students.
