Milsco is nominated as the Small Manufacturer of the Year.

Kellogg's is nominated in the category of Medium Manufacturer of the Year.

Two local manufacturers, Milsco and Kellogg's, have been nominated for the 2007 Manufacturer of the Year Awards by Augusta Technical College. Each year, the State of Georgia celebrates the contributions of manufacturing in Georgia with a week long celebration called Manufacturing Appreciation Week. One of the highlights of the week is a banquet at the Cobb Galleria where three manufacturers will be recognized in the categories of small, medium and large manufacturers.

Milsco has been nominated in the small manufacturer category. The company located in Thomson, Georgia specializes in light manufacturing and foam cushion manufacturing.

Kellogg's has been nominated in the medium manufacturer category. Located in Augusta, Kellogg's specializes in the manufacture of Murray Cookies.

Winners of the statewide awards will be announced April 12, 2007.
