In an effort to recognize the valuable contributions made by the technical colleges in Georgia, the Georgia House and Senate have respectively passed resolutions HR86 and SR84 to recognize January 30 as Technical College System Day in Georgia. House resolution 86 was sponsored by Representative Bill Hamrick of the 67th district and Senate resolution 84 wa sponsored by Senators Seth Harp of the 29th, John Wiles of the 37th , Bill Cowsert of the 46th, Cecil Stanton of the 18th and Gail Davenport of the 44th.
