The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that Mr. and Mrs. Ken Simmons have established two new book scholarships to honor the memory of Philip Walsh and Nancy Simmons. The scholarships, valued at $500 each, will cover the cost of books and supplies for two Practical Nursing students. The Simmons’ have pledged to fund the book scholarships for a period of five years.

Philip Walsh was the son of Ruth Simmons and passed away while still a student in college. Nancy Simmons was a RN who had a lifelong love of nursing.

Ken is a Networking instructor with Augusta Technical College and his wife, Ruth, is a RN and Lactation Consultant. The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to have been selected as the recipient of the funds honoring both Philip and Nancy.
