And the winner is Shala Bussey!

Augusta Technical College graduate Shala Bussey recently took first place in the Skills USA national competition in Kansas City, Missouri. Ms. Bussey, who graduated in June with an associate degree in Media Communications, bested ten other competitors from across the nation in the Job Demonstration B competition. Competitors in this event had to deliver a five to seven minute presentation on a topic related to technical education. Bussey’s winning presentation was a demonstration on the proper way to put together a portfolio for the Media Communications industry.

“I was prepared. I just knew I had won,” said Ms. Bussey. That winning attitude carried the day for Shala Bussey.

The Skills USA Nationals were held June 25- June 30.
