Augusta Tech faculty and staff have agreed to participate in the American Heart Walk for 2007. Heart Association staff members, Amy Judson and Patricia Rinker, were on hand August 22 to encourage staff to get "Started" in their own healthly heart plans.

Teams are being formed to raise money for the walk. Currently, the President's Office and the Foundation Office along with the Vice President's Office of Academic Affairs have formed one team called the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The second team is being formed by staff from ITC and they have donned the name the Beta Blockers.

Persons wishing to form their own teams can visit www.augustaheartwalk.kintera.org to register their team or join an existing team. The two established teams will be selling paper hearts in addition to other fundraising efforts to benefit the AHA.
