Wal-Mart Grand Re-Opening Benefits Augusta Tech Foundation

The Wal~Mart on Bobby Jones Expressway recently celebrated their grand reopening on June 25th and the Augusta Technical College Foundation was a recipient of a $2,500 contribution as a result of the celebration. Store manager Jason DiLorenzo and Community Coordinator Judy Valdez presented President Terry Elam with the $2,500 contribution. The remodeled and expanded Wal~Mart is now the largest store in the southeastern United States and now offers a new food and produce market. Wal~Mart has been a supporter of technical education for several years now having partnered with the Augusta Technical College Foundation through its community grants program.
