Valda Mills Simpkins Named Teacher of the Year

A panel of judges selected Mrs. Valda Mills Simpkins as the 2008 Teacher of the Year for Augusta Technical College. Mrs. Simpkins is an instructor in the Early Childhood Care and Education Program at the main campus.

Mrs. Simpkins will receive a $500 award from the Augusta Technical College Foundation in honor of her selection as Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Simpkins will compete for the title of Rick Perkins Teacher of the Year for the State of Georgia.
