Surgical Technology Program Named a 2007 Galaxy of Stars Recipient

The Surgical Technology Program of Augusta Technical College has been recognized by the Association of Surgical Technology (AST) as a 2007 Galaxy of Stars recipient. The AST Galaxy of Stars is a program to recognize surgical technology educators (STARS) who promote their students' future success in the field by encouraging membership in their national professional organization---The Association of Surgical Technologists. Galaxy Stars will also receive special recognition at the national conference and in the Instructors Newsletter. To qualify for this recognition at least 75% of graduates in any year have to join AST. This is the fourth consecutive year that Augusta Technical College's Surgical Technology Program has been the recipient of this award.
