Augusta Technical College's Surgical Technology Program hosted the Georgia State Assembly of the Association of Surgical Technology bi-annual meeting on March 8, 2008. This eight hour educational conference was attended by 114 surgical technologists, registered nurses and students from around the State of Georgia. During this conference, Mr. Gene Burke, Surgical Technology Director at Augusta Tech, was asked to be a delegate at the National Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida.
