trophy from Dr. Melissa Frank-Alston for donating the most pints
of blood during the Shepherd Blood Challenge.

One hundred and forty-eight (148) students participated in the first annual Augusta Technical College/Shepeard Cup of Life Blood Drive Competition. This number represents 444 saved lives.  If a person donates a pint of blood, three lives are saved because the blood is divided into red cells, plasma and platelets. The Division of Allied Health & Nursing won the Cup of Life trophy. Eighty-seven (87) students from the division participated in the blood drive.
