Students Place at Skills USA State Competition

Congratulations go out to our very talented Skills USA students who recently brought home gold, silver and bronze medals during the statewide skills competition.

Bringing home gold medals and an opportunity to compete in Kansas City were Shala Bussey in the Job Skill Demo A category and Gerald Hendrick in Electronics Applications. Shala is enrolled in the Printing and Graphics Program and Gerald is enrolled in the Electronics Technology Program.

Darrell Toliver received a silver medal in Extemporaneous Speaking. Darrell is also serving as one of the new state officers for Skills USA and will compete in Kansas City. Darrell is a student in the Electronics Technology Program.

Jason Trefil brought home a bronze medal in Residential Wiring. Jason is enrolled in the
Electrical Construction/Maintenance Program.

Congratulations to all of our winners! We would also like to thank Andrew Jefferson and Franklin (Deon) Cox for their time in volunteering to serve as advisors for the local Skills USA Chapter.
