GED Graduation Set for June 16th

Augusta Technical College will hold its GED (General Educational Development) graduation on Saturday, June 16th beginning at 4:00pm at the James Brown Arena, formerly the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.  The featured graduation speaker will be Mrs. Tiffany Rowe-Thomas.

Tiffany Rowe-Thomas is a big proponent of pursuing your dreams through education and is living proof that education opens doors to success.

Mrs. Rowe-Thomas is a native of Augusta, Georgia. She earned her GED at Augusta Tech in 1993. In 1993, she began her employment as a GED Examiner with the Office of Adult Literacy and served in this capacity for five years. She managed to balance work, family, and education in the ensuing years earning an associate degree in accounting from Augusta Technical College, a B.A in Business Administration from Brenau University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Troy University. Mrs. Rowe-Thomas will soon add a second master’s degree to her resume. Presently, she is majoring in Human Resources at Troy University.

Mrs. Rowe-Thomas is currently employed as secretary for the General Education and Learning Support Division of Augusta Technical College.  She has also taught courses in life skills and human resources.

Mrs. Rowe-Thomas is married to Christopher Thomas. They have five children and one grandchild.
