The annual Early Childhood Development Conference (ECDC) was held on Saturday, May 5, on the campus of Augusta Technical College. 289 child care professionals from across the area attended the annual seminar as part of their required annual training process.
The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, the agency that regulates the childcare industry, requires 10 clock hours of state approved training each year for anyone who provides direct care to children. Participants attending the ECDC may receive six hours of state approved training.
The ECDC was founded in 1987 by Augusta Tech. The purpose of the conference is to provide quality, affordable training for local early care professionals.
ECDC attendees register for the conference at the welcome table.
