Blue Ribbon Riders kick off their annual Demonstration Day.


OTA students help participants make holiday picture frames.

On December 1st, a group of junior OTA students under the supervision of Barbara Banning, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator with Augusta Tech, assisted with the Blue Ribbon Riders Hippotherapy program's Demonstration Day. The students assisted with holiday arts and craft activities for the clients, their siblings and other family members. The following activities included a photo shoot, make-a-frame, candy cane ornaments, pin the nose on Rudolph and letters to Santa.

The event was held at Maple Knoll Farm in Grovetown. The program is a NARHA accredited program providing treatment with the help of the horse to local children and adults with special needs. This is the third year the OTA students and faculty have volunteered their time and supplies for this worthy cause.
