Beverly Peltier Wins GEAC's Outstanding Newcomer Award

Beverly Barshafsky Peltier, Director of Institutional Advancement for Augusta Technical College, was recently presented the “Outstanding Newcomer Award” for Advancement Officers by the Georgia Educational Advancement Council (GEAC) at their fall conference in Brasstown Valley.

The award is presented to an advancement officer that has served less than five years in the field of development and fundraising, demonstrated quality performance and potential for leadership in the field of higher education advancement and made specific professional contributions that have earned the notice of their colleagues. Beverly was selected from a field of worthy nominees from the Board of Regents colleges and the Technical College System of Georgia colleges for her work. She is the first advancement officer from a technical college to receive this distinguished award.

GEAC is an organization that works to foster greater professional advancement for both public and private Georgia college and university advancement personnel.
