Washington Savannah River Company Supports GED Scholarships

The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that we have received a $2,500 grant in support of GED Scholarships from Washington Savannah River Company (WSRC), the organization which manages the Savannah River Site. The college approached WSRC earlier in the year for the first time regarding financial support. Representatives of the company toured the campus and met with key personnel. One of the areas of interest that appealed to the company was the GED Scholarships provided by the foundation in support of students trying to earn their high school equivalency diplomas. In addition to their monetary support, a representative of WSRC will be joining the foundation board in April of 2007.
