The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that the Medical Assisting Scholarship Endowment established by Dr. Paul Fischer of the Center for Primary Care will receive an additional $90,000 over a period of time to fund the endowment to the $100,000 level. The endowment was originally established with a gift of $10,000 and is used to fund scholarships to medical assisting students. The first award from the endowment was made today to Karen Dempsey.
In addition to the endowment being significantly increased, Dr. Fischer will name the endowment after the Medical Assisting Program Chair, Lisa Nagle for her many years of dedicated service to the college and the profession.
Dr. Fischer is a member of the Augusta Technical College Foundation Trustee Board and the program advisory chair of the Medical Assisting Program.
Please join the Augusta Tech family in congratulating Lisa Nagle and thanking Dr. Fischer for his generosity.
