Gene Burke, program chair for Surgical Technology, was nominated in August to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Surgical Technology Georgia State Assembly. Voting will take place in March of 2007 to confirm Gene as a board of director.
The mission of the Georgia State Assembly is to be an all encompassing resource for Surgical Technologists and other health care professionals by promoting education, regulation and professional standards to always ensure quality patient care.
