Nixon Cabin to be Featured in Documentary The Nixon cabin was the setting for an interview with 100 year old Sister Clare of the Convent of St. Helena. Sister Clare was one of many nuns who lived in the cabin during the 1960's. Thomson Campus Holds Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony Nineteen students were pinned during the 2008 Practical Nursing pinning ceremony held at the Thomson campus. Practical Nursing Students Hold Blood Drive Practical Nursing students collected 37 pints of blood for the American Red Cross. 2008 Graduates of the Cardiovascular Technology Program Receive Pins The graduates of the 2008 Cardiovascular Technology Program received their pins in a ceremony held on March 7th at University Hospital. Youth Leadership Students Visit Working Artist Members of Youth Leadership group had an opportunity to visit a working artist's studio during Culture and Art Day. Junior Achievement Students Visit Augusta Tech 50 Junior Achievement students visited Augusta Tech to learn about different careers. Charlene Hardy Named GOAL Student of the Year Charlene Hardy, an Occupational Therapy Assisting student, was selected as the GOAL Student of the Year by the Optimist Club of Augusta. Medical Assisting Students Complete Annual Blood Project Thirty participants completed the annual blood project conducted by the 2008 Senior Medical Assisting students. Bench Honors Child A memorial bench was placed in front of the 500 building honoring the memory of Shakayla Hawes.
