Computers
  • Library staff provides assistance at all times.
  • Students needing additional help with course work will be referred to their instructors or tutors.
  • Library staff are responsible for rules, safety, and security. Please follow their directions regarding procedures.
  • Augusta Technical College students have first priority to all computers. Community members may use available computers. Children under 16 are not allowed in the library computer lab.
  • Augusta Technical College provides ADA compliant workstations. Please notify library staff for assistance.
  • Users must provide their own disk(s) or minidrives for storing work. USB ports are available on all workstations.
  • Printing is available for a fee for black and white printing and color printing. If a printer needs servicing (it's jammed or out of paper), notify library staff. Do not attempt to service the printer yourself.
  • Computers are available during library hours.
  • Networked computers with Internet access and laser printing/scanning capabilities are available at each library.
  • Software and resource materials are protected by copyright law, with all rights reserved. These items may not be copied, photocopied, reproduced, translated, or reduced to any electronic medium in any way.
  • Any violation, or attempted violation, of copyright law may result in immediate suspension of computer privileges, disciplinary action by the school, and/or lawsuit.
  • Users may not run their own software, nor connect their own equipment to any computers. Users may not download software from Internet onto computers. If a computer freezes or malfunctions, please notify library staff. Do not try to correct the problem. Do not turn computers on or off.
  • Chat lines and game playing are prohibited.
