Augusta Technical College recently hosted a Blood Drive in conjunction with Shepeard Community Blood Center. The Blood Mobile parked on campus and allowed faculty, staff, and students to donate, in addition to being open for community donors.
The arrival of the Blood Mobile was a treat due to a photo of Augusta Tech employee Marlow McIntyre being featured prominently on its side.
Everyone giving blood received a ticket to a Greenjacket’s game on an appreciation night dedicated to loyal donors. Shepeard Blood is a non-profit organization, partnering with donors to provide blood that is transfused into patients. The drive allowed college faculty, staff, and students to donate, in addition to welcoming community donors.
