Program Description

The Microcomputer Specialist program is designed to prepare students for entry-level microcomputers jobs. Graduates are qualified to enter careers in which they function as end users, support personnel, or application developers for microcomputer systems. Microcomputer Specialists: install and maintain PC hardware and software; design and maintain PC databases; install and maintain communications networks; support users of applications software; and create business applications.

Today, the majority of service and industrial companies use microcomputers. Microcomputers are becoming more sophisticated and require someone with training to install, support, and maintain them. The demand for people with these skills is expected to grow for the foreseeable future.
