Program Description:

The Cisco CCNP Specialist certificate program is designed to prepare the experienced or trained LAN & WAN technician to take the four Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) exams. In addition to preparing students for the exams, the curriculum provides the skill sets preparation that will enable students to perform associated tasks. To enter CCNP program, students must have received their CCNA Certification or have completed the courses in the Cisco CCNA Specialist technical certificate program.

Program Objectives:

The mission of the Cisco CCNP Specialist program is to prepare knowledgeable qualified entry-level networkers who are able to setup, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks as well as wide area networks. This is done by creating an environment where students can learn not only the theory of networking, but have sufficient hands-on experience to become certified and be proficient on the job. It is important that graduates from the program be capable of working as team members and adept at interfacing with both management and end users.

Employment Opportunities:

Networking Specialist Program graduates are in high demand by businesses with planned or existing networked computer infrastructures. Additional demand is created by the training our graduates have in specialized infrastructure devices, server skills, applications, and hardware maintenance. Bureau of Labor statistics indicate that computer and infrastructure networking skills will be in high demand for the foreseeable future.
