This website has been developed to assist students considering Microcomputers as a career choice. Both degree and diploma programs are available and classes are offered in the daytime as well as the evening. Click on the course of your interest. Each course is described in further detail, including typical class assignments, instructional format, textbooks needed and information unique to that class. Instructor biographies and email links allow prospective students considering joining the program to email the instructors. Please consult the Augusta Technical College catalog, page 76 for the degree program and diploma program.
Although it is possible after taking a few prerequisite courses to take classes randomly, a logical approach that groups similar subjects together has been used to schedule classes. Example... It's much better on your brain to take a hardware class and an operating class during the same term as many of the topics discussed relate to both courses. Probably much tougher on your brain would be to take a Windows programming class and a hardware class at the same time. The concepts in these courses rarely cross. This coupling is used in the day program and as much as possible in the night program.
