1.         Label the endocrine organs and state a hormone produced by each  (p. 408).

 

2.         Identify the following endocrine glands and structures on microscope slides or Histology plates.

thyroid gland - follicle, parafollicular cells

parathyroid – identify organ only

            pituitary - adenohypophysis and neurohypophysis

            pancreas – exocrine tissue, islets of Langerhans

            adrenal gland -  zona glomerulosa, zona fasciculata, zona reticularis, and medulla

            testis – identify organ only

ovary  - identify organ only

 

3.         Identify the following blood cells on microscope slides or color plates 50-55.

            number 4 above as well as inferior and superior vena cava and pulmonary

            veins).
