1) How do I apply to be evaluated for the Georgia HOPE Scholarship? Pick up an evaluation form from the Financial Aid Office at the Augusta Campus, Admissions at the Thomson Campus or Waynesboro Campus. You can also print the form from here. 2) To be evaluated, must I submit transcripts from every post-secondary institution I have ever attended? Yes. Students must request academic transcripts from every post-secondary institution attended. 3) Will the courses accepted as transfer credit be the only courses used to calculate my HOPE Scholarship GPA? No. All degree level work will be evaluated, even if it does not transfer into your program of study. 4) How many degree level hours do I need in order to qualify for the HOPE Scholarship? You must have attempted at least 45, 90, or 135 degree level credit hours and no more than 190 degree level credit hours. 5) What does my HOPE Scholarship GPA need to be in order to qualify for the HOPE Scholarship? You must have at least a 3.0 grade point average at the above check points to qualify for the HOPE Scholarship. 6) Do my diploma level core classes count towards my HOPE Scholarship hours? No. 7) Are only Augusta Technical College credits calculated in my HOPE Scholarship evaluation? No. If you have attended a post-secondary institution other than Augusta Technical College, ALL degree level course work counts in the HOPE Scholarship GPA and hours attempted, regardless of when the courses were attempted, where they were attempted, or whether they are accepted at Augusta Technical College as transfer credit. 8) How long does it take to process my HOPE Scholarship Evaluation request? Seven to ten working days of receipt of the request by the Registrar. 9) Who will contact me regarding my eligibility? The Financial Aid Office will notify you via e-Mail or US Postal Service of your eligibility status. Please contact pwalker@augustatech.edu to verify your e-Mail address with the Financial Aid Office. 10) Can I receive the HOPE Scholarship if I have a Bachelor's Degree or higher education? No. *Final determination of eligibility rests with the Financial Aid Office.
