2) What is included in the graduation packet?

Diploma, diploma cover, cap, gown, and tassel.

3) What is the appropriate attire for graduation?

Men: dress shirt and tie, dark trousers, dark socks and dress shoes

Women: dark dresses, skirts, or slacks and blouse with dress shoes

4) Are there any special instructions for graduates?

Graduates should arrive dressed in cap and gown.

Graduation caps should be worn so that the top is parallel to the floor.  The tassel should be worn on the right.  Graduates will be directed from the podium when to move the tassel from the right to the left.

No cell phones or pagers.

Women should not bring purses to the ceremony.

No sunglasses or chewing gum.

Due to the length of the ceremony (approximately two hours), it is recommended that children under seven years of age not attend.

5) When and where is graduation?

Graduation will be held Friday, June 20, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the William B. Bell Auditorium, 712 Telfair Street, Augusta, GA, 30901

6) When and where is graduation rehearsal?

There will be a quick rehearsal before the ceremony; therefore, it is imperative that graduates arrive no later that 5:15 p.m.

7) What does my GPA have to be to be an Honor Graduate?

Degree and diploma graduates who have achieved a program grade point average of 3.5 or higher are recognized as honor graduates at graduation.

8) I have received transfer credit.  How much of my course work has to be completed at Augusta Technical College in order for me to graduate?

A student must complete at least 25 percent of the credit hours required for graduation in residence regardless of the amount of transfer credit and exemption credit awarded.
