Program Description

This certificate will enable the student to upgrade his/her microcomputer application software skills and prepare for certification. The objective of this 21-hour TCC program is providing students with the following Microsoft software application skills: word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and scheduling groupware. High school graduation or GED is required for admission to this program.

Employment Opportunities

A shortage in the information technology career field is projected for industry certified microcomputer support personnel. This is due primarily to the overwhelming growth in internet technology and e-commerce accompanied by the subsequent adoption of new or expanded growth of information technology in small and large enterprises.
