Program Description
The Air Conditioning Technology program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the air conditioning industry. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of air conditioning theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Air Conditioning Technology diploma and have the qualifications of an air conditioning technician. High school graduation or GED is required for graduation from this program.
Employment Opportunities
Since air conditioning has become standard in homes, businesses, and many industries, the need for craftsmen in this field will continue to increase. Many program graduates eventually open their own businesses.
