Acoustic Cafe Kicks off With Halloween Theme
The inaugural Acoustic Café was held on October 31st and featured a Halloween theme. Current students, faculty and staff got a chance to wear their favorite costumes and enjoy entertainment from several students who performed in the Acoustic Café at 12 Noon. The performers and their type of performance for the Acoustic Café were: Mike Sandy– New Age Instrumental; Sanchez “Young Jerzey” – Hip Hop Praise; Sam Edenfield – Halloween Reading, and James Smith – Acoustic Folk-Rock.
The winners of the costume contest were:
Most Original: “Bigmama”
Funniest: “Mario Brothers”
Scariest: “Grim Reaper”
The Acoustic Café is planned to be a monthly event and the committee has already auditioned several students to perform for the future. It is open to current students and those interested in performing can contact Brian Roberts, Director of Student Activities and Support Services in Building 1300.
