Program Description

The Food Production Worker I program at Augusta Tech is a three-quarter sequence of courses designed to prepare students to work in the culinary arts field. The program of study emphasizes appropriate handling, preparing, cooking, and presenting of food.

Program Objectives

This program will prepare individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry into the hospitality field.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the program will be trained and prepared for successful employment in food preparation in restaurants, hotels, school lunchrooms, and institutional food service organizations.
