Program Description

This certificate program provides students with the knowledge and skills to perform word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications in an office environment.  It is designed to provide hands-on instruction for developing foundation skills for office assistant careers. High school graduation or GED is required for graduation from this program.

Employment Opportunities

A heavy concentration of hands-on computer coursework prepares the graduate of this program to perform in the business office setting with the skills necessary to support the document processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation requirements of the organization.  In addition, entry level employment may be found in federal, state, and local government offices, as well as in small and large businesses, professional services, merchandising, and manufacturing businesses.
